Owning and care
How to Inspect a Delivered Product: The First-Hour Ritual
Your claim leverage is highest in the first hour and can expire within 24–48 hours. Retailers' terms may require photos/video — sometimes an unboxing video — with the doll unused and packaging kept. Treat arrival as an inspection, not an unboxing celebration.
The ritual, in order
- Photograph the box before signing/opening — all sides, labels, any crush or puncture damage.
- Open on video if your seller's terms mention it — check your order thread before delivery day so you know.
- Inspect unused, in this order: transit damage (tears, compression), fingers (poke-through, breaks — hand protection in transit is a known differentiator in reviews), feet/standing bolts, head match (is this the head, material and options you configured?), seams and finish.
- Check the options list against the order: photographed-but-extra options are the classic gap — confirm gel, fingers, ROS/jaw, hair type and any second head actually arrived as configured.
- Report within the window — 24 hours in one recorded regime, 24–48 hours across our sources — in writing, with photos attached, keeping the product unused and packaging intact until the seller responds.
If something is wrong
State the order number, the defect, the evidence, and the remedy you are asking for — knowing remedies are often parts or a repair kit rather than replacement. Do not attempt a DIY fix first (see Repairs and replacement parts). If the seller goes silent, escalate through your payment provider with the dated thread — one reason to have paid by a protected method (How to verify a legitimate seller).
Delivery-day practicalities
You are moving a ~50 kg boxed item (boxed weight ~10 kg above net in a documented case). Have help, a cleared route, and the storage ready before the doorbell — storage options are in Safe storage and handling, and the full returns picture is in Return and cancellation policies.
How this guide was written
From the seller and manufacturer listings behind our catalog records, retailer policy pages and owner accounts we reviewed, checked 13 Oct 2026. Where a fact could not be checked, the guide says so rather than filling the gap. See our methodology, editorial policy and who we are. Spotted an error? Tell us.
